A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
Wednesday 13 & Thursday 14 December
Doors 7.30pm, performance 8pm, £22.50, members £20, book in advance
(includes an interval glass of white wine/soft drink in the Banqueting Room). Not suitable for children under 10 years.
A Christmas Carol
was the first public reading Charles Dickens gave of his own work. In November 1861 he came to the Royal Pavilion to read in the magnificent Music Room, and this Christmas you can experience what it must have been like to have been there.
Actor John O’Connor is faithfully recreating Dickens’s famous performance of his best-loved ghost story in the historic Music Room itself. Using Dickens’ own performance script and a faithful recreation of his set, this is a wonderfully evocative evening and an acting tour de force. Come and enjoy a seasonal treat in the spirit of Christmas past, present and future…
Following on from last year’s sell-out tour, European Arts Company presents a captivating and heart-warming evening in aid of the children’s charity Barnardo’s.
